Exhibition Details

The exhibition presents the photobook prototypes developed during the third edition of Folio - PhMuseum International Photobook Masterclass.

Over the course of nine months, a group of thirteen participants worked under the guidance of Witty Books publisher Tommaso Parrillo, designer Giulia Boccarossa and PhMuseum curator Rocco Venezia with the aim of developing their visual projects according to this format. The initiative is an opportunity to connect photographers from all over the world and use the instruments offered by the online world in order to create an art object whose popularity is increasing despite growing digitization. At the end of the Masterclass the work Replikant by Uta Genilke was published by Witty Books with a contribution from PhMuseum and is now part of the catalog of the publishing house.

The book prototypes on display are by Aziz Motawa, Birgit Püve, Cinzia Laliscia, Ellen Smeets, Fernando Criollo, Francesca Bergamini, Giulia Bernardi, Niccolò Varrella, Rebecca Routman, Rosa Lacavalla, Thomas Martin, Uschi Groos and Uta Genilke.
